IT starts with
how your business works.
Explore the priorities behind different working environments.

Professional services
Keep the working day organized.

Small & growing businesses
Build a foundation for the next stage.

Retail & customer-facing spaces
Plan around the customer-facing day.

Distributed teams
Connect people across locations.
Business context shapes the technology plan.
Look beyond the industry label
Two organizations in the same industry may have very different working patterns, applications and constraints. A useful review considers the actual environment: locations, people, information flows, existing contracts and the activities that must remain available.
Identify specialist requirements early
Some organizations have professional, contractual or regulatory obligations that affect how technology is selected and used. Those requirements should come from the organization and its appropriate advisers. General IT planning does not itself establish compliance or replace a specialist assessment.
Plan around the working calendar
Busy periods, opening dates and client commitments can all affect how a project is sequenced. Include those constraints in the initial discussion so that discovery, testing and handover are planned around the people who need to participate.
